Support for communities in emergencies

The Covid-19 pandemic was one of the crossroads when we needed to show solidarity, involvement and responsibility. The health and safety of employees, as well as customers, suppliers and members of the communities in which we operate have been at the heart of the projects and actions we have undertaken and supported in 2020.

I responded to the call for help from the Emergency Hospital in Târgu Cărbunești, transformed into a Covid support hospital, and I financially supported non-governmental organizations that carry out concrete support actions for vulnerable groups, the most affected by the health crisis, such as Save the Children. “Give Life” Association or SOS Children’s Villages Romania Association.

OLTENIA MARATHON

In 2019 and 2020, together with our client, CEZ Group in Romania, by sponsoring the Oltenia Marathon event, we offered financial support:

  • the Progress Foundation, which leads local education initiatives and then scales them nationwide as best practices using public libraries as hubs (focal points) for lifelong learning;
  • Habitat for Humanity Romania, an organization that builds and rehabilitates homes for low-income people;
  • Romanian Red Cross, which provides humanitarian assistance in case of disasters;
  • Alex Tache Foundation, for the construction of a family-type house for 12 abandoned children, in Galicea commune, Vâlcea county;
  • Neonatology Department of the Emergency Hospital in Râmnicu Vâlcea for the care of children born prematurely,
  • Red Cross – Vâlcea Branch.

NARADA

Because the Adrem Group’s business is expanding nationally, with a direct impact on the local communities where we operate, community development remains a priority for us. That is why we will continue to provide support to all local stakeholders both in emergencies, such as the health crisis caused by Covid-19, and in their actions that contribute in the medium and long term to economic and social development.
