DESCRIPTION:
SCADA/DMS System for the MV distribution network of FDEE Transilvania Sud (overhead power lines and underground power lines), developed in successive stages

 

Functionalities:

  • Remote control of approx. 1550 re-closers and SF6 outdoor switch disconnectors for the overhead power lines
  • Remote control of the Feed Points and Transformer points from the urban distribution network (approx. 200 locations)
  • IED integration (protection relays, RTUs) from various manufacturers: IDS, ABB, Siemens, Telvent, Bristol Babcock, Schneider Electric, ION, etc.
  • Multiple communication protocols: IEC 60870-5-101/103/104, IEC 61850, Modbus RTU/TCP
  • Topology processing of the entire MV network (including non-remote) items

 

Dispatch centres:
6 local dispatch centres with redundant (FEC) communication servers, central server at FDEE Transilvania Sud for DMS applications

  • Approx. 1.150 / 2010
  • Approx. 1.800 / 2012

 

No. of process variables:

  • Approx. 95.000 real DP, on-line
  • Approx. 55.000 topological elements (including remote switching elements from the Electricity Distribution Network)

 

Communications:
Mixed solutions, depending on each location: GPRS, conventional Radio, MPLS, VSAT, VLAN, VPN
