REPLACEMENT OF LEA INSULATORS 20 KV TG.OCNA – SALINA, Bacău county

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
 
LEA 20 kV Tg. Ocna – Salina was put into operation in the 1970s and as a result of the wear and tear of the line elements, work was required to maintain or restore the technical condition.
 
According to the design theme, the following were executed:

  • works to replace existing insulation with composite type insulation,
  • 375 insulators and 825 stretch chains
  • installation works new separators,
  • 5 dividers with related consoles
  • concrete structure repair works, painting, existing pillars,
  • painting 142 consoles
  • painting 3 trellis posts
  • works to replace poles that present functional problems,
  • MT poles – 11 pieces
  • wooden portal posts type A with concrete portal posts 2x Sc 15015 above crossing the river Slanic
  • wooden portal posts type A with tubular metal posts 2x SMT 18-2500 overpass DN 12A
  • inscription works on LEA 20 kV Tg poles. Ocna – Salina
  • 180 poles
  • works to remove some equipment to the public domain, for access
  • Public release of PTA 8 Tg. Ocna, to create access with replacement and installation of a new PTA

 
WORK DURATION: The 12-month contract deadline was exceeded with the beneficiary’s agreement, due to the change in the project theme as well as the limited number of possible annual interruptions.
 
OBSTACLES ENCOUNTERED: The difficulty of the work consisted in the location of the existing MV line in the geographical mountain area, with a network executed 30 years ago in public domains and transformed over time in private domains.
 
As exceptional works, the project team realized:

  • replacing wooden poles type A with 2 portal poles type 2xSMT 18-2500 (tubular metal poles) for the crossing of the DN12A national road and executed the diversion of the related MV overhead line – almost unique work on MV networks in the Moldova Region
  • replacement of wooden portal posts type A with concrete portal posts 2x Sc 15015 over the Slanic river crossing

 
BENEFITS for the CLIENT/ COMMUNITY: Insulation replacement work is required to maintain the 20 kV LEA at normal safe operating parameters.
