Remote work brings many challenges in the area of leadership, because essential elements of direct interaction are missing, which help to unite teams, said Corneliu Bodea, CEO Adrem and President of the Romanian Energy Center (CRE), at Biz Days, on the day dedicated to Entrepreneurship .

“It’s a challenge to use the company’s culture to make leadership at a distance. Charisma is harder to transmit at a distance. To hire a CFO, for example, would you just do an online interview? I believe that leadership is suffering because of these online interactions “, said Corneliu Bodea, who coordinates a team of over 1,500 employees.

On the other hand, CEO Adrem says that this pandemic teaches us an important lesson about efficiency and shows us the importance of digitalization and automation in companies, which can be an opportunity for modernization for any business.

“I was most surprised by my own ability to focus on what I have to do, because such a situation can paralyze you. I probably have the personality of a crisis manager and that has helped me now “, Corneliu Bodea emphasizes.

According to him, in any organization, in the pandemic the first task should be the health crisis, then come the cash management solutions, stopping activities to protect people and recovery plans. Adrem managed, in fact, to return to 100% business capacity, despite the difficult conditions.
